The Griffith Combined Schools Band (GCSB) is a vibrant music program that brings together young musicians from various local schools in Griffith. With a focus on inclusivity and fostering musical talent in students from years 3 to 12, GCSB prepares its members for participation in prestigious competitions. The band not only aims to excel in musical performances but also seeks to instill important life skills such as teamwork and communication. Since its establishment, GCSB has embarked on an inspiring journey marked by perseverance and achievement. In the past four years of competing at the Australian School Bands Festival, the band has consistently showcased exceptional talent, earning gold and silver trophies against some of the best music programs in the country. Each year, GCSB continues to grow, welcoming even more young musicians into its fold as they prepare for the upcoming festival in 2025.
